Biography:
Elisabeth Kerron Snell (1837-1917) grew up on a farm in District 12 of Rutherford County. She was one of five children of Hardy Thomas Snell and Jane White Wood. She was only sixteen when she married Robert Warren. The couple lived on a farm in the Triune area of Williamson County where her husband owned a saw mill. The couple had five children, one of whom died in infancy. Elisabeth died in 1917, twenty-three years after her husband.
Description:
Elisabeth attended school at Spring Hill Seminary on the border of Maury and Williamson counties. The original frame (pictured) was made by her husband when they married in 1854. Although the thread has disintegrated in the signature line, the following text can be deciphered:
